#Gifted Product We were luck enough to be sent a newly released ‘Build Your Own Magnificent Microscope’ from BYO Kits to review. Katie really enjoys all things science so this was perfect for her to make, use and explore with.

Things we liked about the BYO microscope (we actually couldn’t find anything we didn’t like!!)
= eco-friendly cardboard
= No glue, mess or fuss
= Everything is provided within the box
= Clear easy to follow instructions
= Sturdy and functional with 30x magnification
= Precut parts which pop out easily without tearing
= Great activity for child and parent to do together
= Quality lenses and mirror
= Portable and a piece of equipment that can be used for years and beyond.

This Build Your Own Microscope has a RRP of £16.99 a perfect present, weekend treat or back to school buy. As a parent I also really enjoyed helping to create this microscope and I was impressed with the quality and level of function it provides by adjusting the zoom by twisting the side of the microscope. It is easy to use a light source to light up your objects to view ( a phone is suitable). You can also remove the microscope lens tubes and use in the handheld adaptor to take out and about with you.
This eco-friendly Microscope is also made using sustainable cardboards and minimal plastics. Build Your Own’s company ethos is ‘Less plastic, paper fantastic!’.

The set is made up of 54 pieces which is great for children aged 8+ and there are detailed video instructions available online at www.buildyourownkits.com
We would highly recommend this kit and we can’t wait to try some other kits as brand ambassadors for BYO. You can purchase your own kit from there website here: www.buildyourownkits.com
